Matting is a common and creative way to accent and style any piece of art. Mats can be used solo or inside a frame. They can be put above and below artwork and objects. Mats can have just one window or multiples. They can even be stacked.
We carry a wide array of colors and styles. We have standard mattes, suede mattes, and mattes with fabric textures. We also have two Gunnars (pictured left) that can cut out unique designs for the mat windows. Click on the button below to see a few examples of standard matting, non-standard cuts, and an explanation of some of the terminology and techniques used when matting artwork.
As you can see, there is a lot of flexibility when using mats. The cuts and colors make the combinations endless.
For a quick look at a portion of the colors we have available, please view the PDF linked to the right. It isn't a complete list, but a great launching point of some basic mats.
For any projects that require matting, please allow 3 to 4 weeks for completion as this depends on matboard availability.
